Changes to Normal Mass Times
While Monsignor is recuperating Fr Louis will be covering Our Lady’s and there will be an amended Mass schedule to allow him to cover both parishes.
Saturday Vigil Mass has been cancelled for the time being.
Sunday morning Masses have been revised forward to 9.30am and Wednesday morning Mass remains at 10am.
We appreciate you patience during this period and thank you for your prayers for Monsignor’s speedy recovery.

Notes for Parishioners.
St John Henry Newman writes : “May is the month of Mary. It is the time when the earth breaks into its fresh foliage and its green grass after the stern ice and snow of winter. It is because blossoms are on the trees and the flowers are in the gardens. The days have got long, the sun rises early and sets late. The gladness and joyousness of external nature is a fit attendant on our devotion to her who is the Mystical Rose and the House of Gold “
i. Saturday Vigil Mass at 5 pm Sunday Morning 10 a.m.
Confessions on Saturdays will be heard from 4.30 pm. We use the sacristy–the penitent stands in the far corner away from the priest, thus observing the required social distance.
ii. May Devotions and Holy Hour this evening at 5 p.m.
These days we are praying in a special way for peace in the Ukraine and for all affected by that awful war.
iii. Thursday : Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord. Holyday of Obligation. Please note times of Masses
Wednesday Vigil 6.30 pm Thursday Morning 10 a.m. No Mass on Wednesday Morning
iv. Sunday Liturgy Preparation Group meets on Thursdays at 6.30 pm. Come along to make the most of our Sunday worship.
The more we put into it, the more we get out of it. All welcome.
v. Please pray for Lindsay Ross, who is recovering from a serious fall in the High Street, for Yvonne Campbell , and for all our sick and housebound. Thank you.
vi. Wednesday : Feast of the Venerable Bede—a monk of Wearmouth and Jarrow Monasteries. One of the last of the great historic Church Fathers . Wrote extensively on Sacred Scripture and the Church Fathers—he is the historian of the early British /Anglo-Saxon Church—-he is renowned as the father of English history . died 735 and his is in Durham Cathedral .
