ii. Relics of St Bernadette are coming to Carfin. There will be a National Pilgrimage to Carfin on Sunday, September 25, with Mass at 3 pm. followed by a Rosary procession. Our bus will leave the town car-park at 12.45 pm., and leave Carfin after the Mass. It will not stay for the procession. Please put your name on the list in the porch if you wish to come
iii. Scripture Corner: Thursdays at 7 pm, or read at home at your leisure. Our aim is to read 3 or 4 chapters of Genesis each week and know the book really well by Xmas. Genesis sets the tone for the rest of the Bible. This coming week we read ch. 12—15. All going well, we should have read the Book of Genesis by Christmas. Reading Sacred Scripture is a prayer as we read God’s Word. Recollect yourself before-hand, and ask the Holy Spirit for guidance
iv. Please remember our sick: Bill Beggs, Yvonne Campbell, Gemma Nicol , Mgr. McCaffrey, Sheila Cullivan and others who are sick and house– bound in the community
v. People recently deceased; anniversaries : Jim Brown , others whose anniversaries occur around this time; former parishioners , priests and friends of Our Lady’s.
