Last week’s collection: £335.70p – Gift Aid Envelopes £234.50p; Loose Plate £101.20p. Second collection for Sick & Retired Priests came to £252. The next second collection will be on Mission Sunday, which is the 22nd October.
The recent collection for the Window Fund came to £697, which has taken the fund total beyond £10K after some very generous donations. We will need approximately a further 5K to complete all windows in the church. Shona McInnes will be visiting later this month to measure windows and production on final designs will begin in October.
Thanks to the parishioners who came to the Care Home Service at Parkdale last Sunday afternoon. The gathering was about 20 strong. Most encouraging. Our next commitment is on 8th October at Ruthven Towers Care Home.
Monsignor Basil continues to convalesce at his niece’s home in Dundee. He is getting stronger, but in his own words, “I am getting there, but not yet there.”
