Parish Notes

Acclamation: The Lord is risen. Alleluia. Response: He is risen indeed. Alleluia.

Sunday: Mass at 10am. Devotions at 5pm.

Wednesday: Mass at 10am.

Easter Water: It is a Catholic custom to take home some of the water blessed at the Vigil and sprinkle it around the rooms of your house, asking the Holy Spirit to remain with you and your loved ones, while requesting the protection and companionship of the good angels, while keeping the others at bay.

The water blessed last year should be disposed of in your garden. Back to mother nature from where it came.

Holy Week and Easter Services.

Many thanks to all who helped over Holy Week and Easter.

With Monsignor’s limited mobility, more help than ever was needed and it was forthcoming.

Thanks to the Church cleaners and decorators; to the musicians and cantors; to the people who helped in the services and to all who worked upfront and behind the scenes.

Many thanks above all to the congregation who attended–without a congregation, there would no celebration.

We can only hope that our Heavenly Father was pleased with our efforts.

If that was the case, then that is all that matters.

Well Done Everybody.

Please remember our sick and housebound: Monica Kidd; Eoin French; Emma Davis; Mary Campbell; Mary McGraw; Patrick Sheridan; John Manser; King Charles and Princess Catherine.

Recently Deceased: Fr Gerry Mulligan (Kinnoull); Maria Mitchell; Anniversaries of relatives and friends; Betty O’Sullivan; former parishioners and friends of Our Lady’s.

Regina Coeli—Queen of Heaven. Recited during Paschal–tide instead of the Angelus.

O Queen of heaven. Rejoice! Alleluia. For he whom you did merit to bear. Alleluia.

Has risen as he said. Alleluia. Pray for us to God. Alleluia.

Rejoice and be glad. O Virgin Mary. Alleluia. For the Lord has risen indeed. Alleluia.

Let us pray: O God, who gave joy to the world through the resurrection of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant that we may obtain, through his virgin mother, Mary, the joys of everlasting life. Amen.

Easter Joys to All Parishioners and Friends of Our Lady’s
