Holy Year of 2025. The Holy Year was inaugurated by the Pope on
Christmas Eve by the opening of the Holy Door–signifying the open door
to salvation. The other three Basilicas in Rome had similar doors
opened. In between Holy Years they are closed in concrete–no
possibility of being opened by accident until the next Holy Year. We
have Holy Years every 25 years of our salvation–and the theme this year
is that of Hope. It is an invitation to renew our Hope in the Lord and
to gain various spiritual graces and indulgences. We will hear more
about it throughout the coming year.
