800th Anniversary of St. Francis
From January 10, 2026 to January 10, 2027, a special Jubilee Year is being celebrated in honour of St Francis. A plenary indulgence can be gained under the usual conditions by visiting a Franciscan church; the reception of Sacramental Confession and Holy Communion and praying for the Pope’s intentions.
The sick and housebound can gain the indulgence by praying for the Pope’s intentions and offering their pain and suffering to God.
